Superintendent Danny Adkins announces Denise Isaac has been selected as a Director of Districtwide Services for Floyd County Schools.

Adkins comments, “We’re excited to see Denise working in this capacity for Floyd County students. She brings a lot to the district as she has over twenty years of classroom experience at the middle level and administrative experience at the elementary, middle and high school levels. In addition to her experience, she brings a passion for expanding technology and STEM [science, technology, engineering, math] opportunities for students of all ages.”

Denise began her teaching career at Adams Middle then moved to South Floyd Middle. After being in the classroom a decade, Denise became an assistant principal at South Floyd Middle/High, principal at Osborne Elementary and then principal at South Floyd Elementary.

Denise comments, “I’m thankful to step into this district role and have the opportunity to work with students and staff throughout the county. Working in Floyd County Schools where most students have a device makes working with technology even more exciting. I want to help continue to develop programs where our children have the same opportunities as any other child in the country and the best part of this will be seeing our kids surpass and then lead us around corners into new territory again!”

Superintendent Adkins concluded, “Denise’s enthusiasm and passion for educating kids is contagious and she’s a great addition as we continue to grow in being innovative for our students.”

Denise and her husband John live in Hi Hat and have two daughters, Joslyn and Jonna.
