WMDJ FM 100.1 Partners

Thank you to Mr. Dale McKinney and his team at WMDJ FM 1001.! Since 1998, WMDJ has broadcasted the voices of approximately 3,600 students reading their own writings on the radio through the Christmas Through the Eyes of a Child program. Every year, our students get to share with the local communities and abroad via the Internet. Its truly a wonderful opportunity to showcase these young people and their ideas. Thank you for helping to make memories for our students and their families!

 

In 1998, the WMDJ Team included: Mona McKinney, “Ranger” Rick Caudill, and Bill Marshall.  First, Mona and then, “Ranger” Rick became the liaison between the radio station and the school district. It was “Ranger” who offered the name: “Christmas Through the Eyes of a Child.” Sadly, Ranger Rick passed from this life in 2018. The Ho! Ho! Ho! Contest was named in Rick’s honor.  For 16 years, Sandy Howell has dedicated countless hours to support this children’s program. Thank you, Sandy!  Thank you to ALL the WMDJ Family!
